Code of Conduct

Creating a respectful and professional recruitment environment

At SeyHire, we are committed to fostering a professional, respectful, and inclusive environment for all users. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for behavior on our platform and the consequences for violations.

1. Our Commitment

3.2 Fraudulent Activity

  • Posting fake or misleading job opportunities
  • Submitting false qualifications or credentials
  • Impersonating other users or companies
  • Engaging in job scams or pyramid schemes
  • Money laundering or financial fraud

3.3 Inappropriate Content

  • Offensive, abusive, or vulgar language
  • Sexually explicit or suggestive content
  • Violent or threatening material
  • Spam or unsolicited commercial messages
  • Malware, viruses, or harmful code

3.4 Unethical Practices

  • Poaching employees unethically
  • Sharing confidential company information
  • Manipulating the platform (fake reviews, ratings)
  • Circumventing payment systems
  • Abusing the refund policy

4. Employer-Specific Guidelines

4.1 Fair Hiring Practices

Employers must:

  • Comply with all employment laws and regulations
  • Provide accurate job descriptions and requirements
  • Ensure fair and non-discriminatory selection processes
  • Respect applicant privacy and confidentiality
  • Respond to applicants in a timely and professional manner

4.2 Job Posting Standards

  • Job postings must be legitimate and current
  • Salary and benefits information should be transparent
  • Requirements must be job-related and necessary
  • Avoid misleading job titles or descriptions
  • Do not request excessive personal information upfront

4.3 Data Protection

  • Use applicant data only for recruitment purposes
  • Securely store and protect candidate information
  • Delete data when no longer needed
  • Do not share applicant information with third parties without consent

5. Job Seeker Guidelines

5.1 Application Integrity

Job seekers must:

  • Provide truthful and accurate information
  • Only apply for positions you are genuinely interested in
  • Do not misrepresent qualifications or experience
  • Respect interview commitments and scheduling
  • Communicate professionally with employers

5.2 Professional Communication

  • Respond to employer inquiries promptly
  • Use professional language in all communications
  • Provide timely notice if withdrawing from consideration
  • Do not harass or repeatedly contact employers

6. Reporting Violations

6.1 How to Report

If you witness or experience a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately:

Include:

  • Your contact information
  • Description of the violation
  • Evidence (screenshots, messages, etc.)
  • Date and time of incident
  • Names of any witnesses

6.2 Confidentiality

All reports will be handled confidentially. We will protect the privacy of reporters and witnesses to the extent possible while conducting a thorough investigation.

7. Enforcement

7.1 Investigation Process

Upon receiving a report, SeyHire will:

  • Acknowledge receipt within 24-48 hours
  • Conduct a fair and impartial investigation
  • Gather evidence and interview involved parties
  • Determine if a violation occurred
  • Take appropriate action based on findings

7.2 Consequences for Violations

Depending on the severity, violations may result in:

  • Warning: Official written warning for first-time minor violations
  • Temporary Suspension: Account suspended for a specified period
  • Permanent Ban: Account permanently disabled for serious or repeated violations
  • Legal Action: Reporting to authorities for illegal activities
  • Financial Penalties: Withholding refunds or pursuing damages

7.3 Appeals Process

If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting us at appeals@seyhire.sc within 14 days of the action.

8. Platform Safety Features

SeyHire provides tools to help maintain a safe environment:

  • User reporting system
  • Content moderation and filtering
  • Account verification for employers
  • Communication guidelines and tips

9. Acknowledgment

By using SeyHire, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Violation may result in account termination and other consequences as outlined herein.
